About: Marc Bonilla has worked with Keith Emerson (including on 1995's Changing States and in Emerson's 2006 touring band), Glenn Hughes (on The Way It Is, 1999, also playing keyboards), David Coverdale (late 2000 live band) and Kevin Gilbert (Toy Matinee live band). He also appears on the Emerson, Lake & Palmer tribute album Encores, Legends & Paradox (Magna Carta Records, 1999). He has released a number of solo albums. EE Ticket in 1991 and American Matador (Warner Brothers) released in 1993, which includes two covers of "A Whiter Shade of Pale".

You may be surprised by the type of guitar playing Dave wants to focus on. He also discusses his style and how to pull out dynamic tones and sounds. Next, Dave talks about some of the guitars he loves and a few of the secret models that gets his blood pumping. They move on and discuss Dave's approach to soloing and how he finds the sweet spots. Lastly, they get into a discussion on Dave's new Paul Reed Smith DGT model - which was introduced at Summer NAMM 2007 - and how he and PRS went about building Dave's dream guitar.

They discuss the "music-by-the-pound" culture that we live in today and how we as listeners and artists respond to it. Shifting gears, Ken asks Steve about his CD Sound Theories and his collaboration with the Netherlands Metropole Orchestra. You'll also hear about his experiences scoring for Frank Zappa. It's a very heady session with one of the all time great musicians of our time.

Brad goes on to talk about his respect and reverence for Redd Volkaert. They move on to talk about Brad's background with the guitar and how he learned to play the instrument. The conversation moves into Brad's songwriting and how he approaches his albums and balancing the art and business side of making records. Lastly, Ken and Brad riff on how he plays the guitar in the studio and live on stage, and how he features the guitar in his music.
