Here it is, a year has gone by and we are at the second annual Experience PRS. The event started off with a bang on Thursday night at a private party at Paul's house filled with artists, press folk, and many PRS dealers from the dealer network. Paul's high tech studio and the rest of the property were open for any of the guests to take in and observe while the atmosphere was filled with good food, and a friendly vibe. It's always good to see people from all different areas of the industry and different parts of the world come together for a common good.  After some great food and networking the music started and on this night, it was an acoustic set featuring Paul's new acoustic models, with special guest Ricky Skaggs. There was an amazing display of talent and humor from Ricky which translated into obvious appreciation to all that attended, capping off a great evening.

Friday at noon the festivities at the PRS facility got underway with live music right off the bat. There was an assemblage of artists being showcased at different stages throughout the facility with the sounds of Johnny Hiland, David Grissom, and many others ringing over the grounds. It was apparent from the start that this years event eclipsed last years in terms of the overall layout and points of interest. We attended a rare and unique seminar featuring Paul and the legendary Jim McCarty who talked about the history of electric guitars, and many interesting stories about artists that helped shape the music of today. There were some great product demonstrations, and mini-clinics on guitar building and set-ups. We also had a chance to hear about the PRS signature club which lets you travel deeper into the world of PRS allowing members discounts on PRS products as well as exclusive gatherings with Paul himself. This event truly is an Experience: it gives you the chance to listen to listen to great music, take pictures, videos, learn more about the development of new PRS products, and meet your favorite guitar stars of today. Tonight we are heading back to see a concert featuring many of the great artists the PRS family has to offer. Stay tuned for some great exclusive GJD coverage and content about the concert and the rest of the Experience PRS.
