jamie robinson.jpgA new guitar champion emerged this week at the 2007 North American Rock Guitar Competition, a featured event of the week-long Buffalo/Niagra guitar festival. His name is 17-year old Jamie Robinson, from Pickering Ontario. Robinson took home a cash prize of $1,500 and a Les Paul Supreme valued at $4,718. He also was handed the Tommy Tedesco Award, named in honor of the Niagara Falls, New York native billed as "the most recorded guitarist in history" by Guitar Player magazine. As reported yesterday the event was judged by luminaries such as Terry Lickona, Executive Producer of Austin City Limits; John 5, guitarist for Rob Zombie and formerly with Marilyn Manson; Jude Gold, associate editor of Guitar Player magazine; Beth Marlis, the director of the Guitar Institute of Technology, and Frank Johns of Gibson Guitars.

Guitar Jam Daily has the sights from the rockin' show thanks to the shows host WNED.
