Ken and Steve discuss how he was discovered by Cliff Cultreri and what Steve learned early on about the record business. At the end, Steve talks a bit about how he has no regrets about the decisions he has been made in his career and a bit about his philosophy on life.

Breaking Laces has been together for three years and is enjoying success from the constant touring, recording and the simple application of proverbial "elbow grease." Ken and Willem discuss the state of the record industry and how it has changed. They also get into how Independent artists promote themselves, how they have more creative freedom and what they need to do to thrive in 2008.

Next, David talks about how he doesn't like high gain amps and how he uses specific pedals to push his amps. You'll also uncover where a big part of where his monster sound comes from. Moving on Ken and David talk about how it is a great time in history in terms of the many great choices for buying gear. Lastly, David closes out the session by speaking about the recent projects he's involved in.

Doug is keeping the Instrumental Guitar scene alive and well today. And he is the person who convinced me to start my instrumental project. Besides being a great person that I can always count on for solid advice, he's a Favored Nations recording artist, a great player, gifted clinician, columnist, and guitar teacher who's released two guitar instructional DVDs.

About: Marc Bonilla has worked with Keith Emerson (including on 1995's Changing States and in Emerson's 2006 touring band), Glenn Hughes (on The Way It Is, 1999, also playing keyboards), David Coverdale (late 2000 live band) and Kevin Gilbert (Toy Matinee live band). He also appears on the Emerson, Lake & Palmer tribute album Encores, Legends & Paradox (Magna Carta Records, 1999). He has released a number of solo albums. EE Ticket in 1991 and American Matador (Warner Brothers) released in 1993, which includes two covers of "A Whiter Shade of Pale".
