Taylor Guitars is releasing the first two Fall Limited Editions in its newly established Electric line, the T5-LTD and T5-12-LTD (12-string).
t5_ltd_vintagehoney_f.jpgThe T5-LTD and T5-12-LTD are the first all-maple guitars from Taylor. Maple is known for its unmistakable visual beauty and brilliant sound; it is used on acoustic guitar bodies, because of its strong projection and precise overtones, and on electric guitar necks, for its combined strength and flexibility.

The T5-LTD and T5-12-LTD have Big Leaf maple bodies and Hard Rock maple necks, with tops of handsome quilted or "curly" maple, and ebony fretboards with Taylor's "600 Series" inlay. Both guitars come in two special Limited Edition color finish options, Vintage Honey Sunburst, and Vintage Cherry Sunburst (top only), and have Taylor's proprietary T5 electronics, for an array of analog acoustic and electric tones.

The T5 is a top-selling electric/acoustic, and has revitalized the hybrid guitar category, ushering in a wave of imitators since its release in 2005 and subsequent trade accolades in 2006. The same spirit of innovation which fueled the T5 development is evident in the T5 12-string, with its dual-compensated saddle for perfect intonation and smooth string attack. A reviewer from Guitar Player magazine (June 2007) gave the T5 12-string a prestigious "Editor's Pick Award," calling it "not only the best-sounding, easiest-playing 12 I've ever come's one of the finest instruments I've played in a long time."

The T5-LTD and T5-12-LTD will ship in late summer 2007.
