Taylor Guitars has announced prices for the new Taylor SolidBody electric guitars. Three Taylor SolidBody models are available: The SolidBody Custom (sapele body with an inset top of figured walnut and Venetian cutaway) will retail for $3,098; tesbww.jpglist price for the SolidBody Standard (sapele with a flame maple inset top and Florentine cutaway) is $2,398; and the SolidBody Classic (swamp ash with crushed pearl pickguard and Florentine cutaway) will list for $1,748.

All three Taylor SolidBody guitars feature new proprietary pickups: Style I, a 3/4-size humbucker design for Custom and Classic models, and Style II, an open coil humbucker for the Standard model. Other Taylor-exclusive touches include the ultra-stable T-LockTM neck; a sculpted, completely-adjustable all-aluminum bridge and volume and tone knobs that are specially contoured for maximum control.

The Taylor SolidBody is a completely original design and reflects the same spirit of innovation and pure love for guitar building that has propelled Bob Taylor since his humble beginnings as a luthier in 1974. According to Guitar World magazine's Eric Kirkland, the Taylor SolidBody guitars "come as close to reinventing the wheel as is conceivable using traditional materials and forms of signal generation...the enormity of this accomplishment cannot be overstated."

A limited number of "pre-launch" Taylor SolidBody electrics will go on sale at select dealerships starting on November 23, 2007. Brand Marketing Director, Jonathan Forstot, says a lot of excitement has been generated by previewing the Taylor SolidBody at Taylor Road Shows, and through performance video clips on the company website. "We expect the pre-launch guitars to sell out right away. People are already making arrangements with their dealers to hold one for them, sight-unseen!"
