fishman.jpgWilmington, MA--The new Fishman SoloAmp Performance system won a NAMM UNIVERSITY "Best In Show" award at this year's Summer NAMM Show in Nashville.

To determine the winners, six industry experts shopped the show, picked their favorite products and services, and presented those picks in five categories during the Sunday morning panel discussion. In the session's final round, each panelist selected his or her pick for the best product or service at Summer NAMM.

Maufactured by Tregan Guitars, the Ronny North Signature model sports a small, light, single cutaway contoured mahogany body (about 7 lbs.); a carved flamed maple top; a curly maple slim fast neck; maple fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets (24 ¾" scale); original gold Floyd Rose tremolo; original Seymour Duncan pickups directly mounted to the body (no pickup rings); and the Buzz Feiten tuning system for perfect intonation.

"The guitar tone is definitely more edgy and organic sounding on this record," states Howe. "It's not quite as polite and compressed, but at the same time the overall sonic production is by far the best yet. It's a very modern production."

namm_logo.jpg NAMM, the trade association of the international music products industry, today announced final registration and exhibitor numbers for 2008 Summer NAMM. At show close, NAMM reported a 36 percent increase in registration from last year's event in Austin, with 17,473 total registrants for the three-day event, including a 45 percent increase in international registrants.
