Larry Fishman Joins Muse BOD PDF Print E-mail

The Muse Research management team is an innovator of core technologies and award-winning products that have revolutionized the world of music composition and advanced the art of recording. They come from companies like Opcode, Be, Passport, E-MU / Creative to name a few. All are musicians, producers or sound artists with a personal interest in the excellence of the company's products.

Muse Research's advisors include some of the music and technology world's leading contributors to innovation, and provide the company with the unique competitive advantage of being "well connected". Muse, a full-service recording studio with a long history of gold and platinum recordings and a breeding ground for a lot of the Bay Area's music technology industry, as well as a new Pro-Tools Training facility, called MindLab.

Larry Fishman is a 30-year veteran of the MI industry. Larry is currently President of Fishman Transducers, Inc. that he founded in 1980. Fishman Transducers is widely recognized as the premier designer and manufacturer of acoustic amplification products. Fishman headquarters is located in Wilmington, Massachusetts and is staffed 100 employees. Fishman also maintains offices in Beijing, China and Hong Kong.

Larry, along with Ken Parker, founded Parker Guitars Inc, in 1992. Fishman was president of Parker Guitars until it was sold to US Music in 2004. Parker guitars and basses are regarded as some of the most innovative and technologically advanced electric instruments ever brought to market. These instruments and their unique manufacturing process won numerous international design awards and are part of the permanent collections at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington and the Museum of Fine arts in Boston.

Joe Bonamassa's Gigliotti Prototype Goes MIA PDF Print E-mail

One of Joe Bonamassa's Gigliotti telecasters went missing during a trip to Denmark in April. The guitar, shown in Figure 1 below, was a prototype in fire engine red, with a brass top. It is unique in that it has an all-wood headstock, shown in Figure 2. It is the only all-wood headstock Gigliotti that was made and finished in tobaccoburst.
