The Ultimate Guitar Concert "C3" at LIMS PDF Print E-mail

londonguitarshow.jpgIt was announced today that Jamie Humphries will join Guitar icons, Guthrie Govan, Ritchie Kotzen to play the first ever C3 concert at the London International Music Show on Saturday, June 14.

This will be the first time that all three musicians will play together. Each guitarist will play three solo sets with full bands backing them, culminating in a one off colossal jamming session.

Guthrie Govan is best known for his work with the bands Asia, GPS, The Young Punx, The Fellowship and Erotic Cakes. He is a noted guitar teacher through his work with Guildford's Academy of Contemporary Music and the Brighton Institute of Modern Music.

Ritchie Kotzen
Touted as "one of the best guitar players in the world, Ritchie Kotzen has had an incredible journey in the world of music. In 2006 as a solo artist, Kotzen was the opening act for the legendary Rolling Stones A Bigger Bang Tour in Japan.

After recording three albums for Shrapnel Records, Kotzen joined the multi-platinum glam metal band POISON. After POISON, Kotzen continued recording albums until 1999, when he was invited by jazz legend Stanley Clarke to form the band VERTU.

Later that year Kotzen joined the immensely popular rock band MR. BIG. In 1999, they played the Osaka Dome in Japan with AEROSMITH for the coveted Millennium Count Down.

Jamie Humphries
After studying with Phil Hilborne, Jamie went on to write and record several books/CDs in the Total Accuracy 'Jam With...' series and is a well known contributor to many guitar magazines. He has a string of collaborations, including recording with Paul Gilbert (Mr.Big), Richie Kotzen, Vinnie Moore, Steve Morse (Deep Purple), Ty Tabor (Kings X) and Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne). Jamie had his first book published recently through Sanctuary called 'Giants of Metal' and regularly teaches at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford

This replaces the previous C3 line-up which included Greg Howe.


The London International Music Show takes place on Thursday 12 - Sunday 14 June at ExCeL London. It includes the hugely successful Drummer Live and London Guitar Show and introduces the brand new Unplugged and Sound Recording Technology shows. With the music capital of the world as its backdrop, this event is set rival established music events across the globe.
