parker_logo.jpgParker Guitars welcomed members of the Parker Guitar Forum to tour the US Music Corp Factory, where Parker guitars, as well as Washburn Guitars, Randall Amplifiers, and Eden Amplifiers are produced. Members of the forum had the opportunity to see some of the recent improvements implemented in the production of Parker Guitars.

Jeff Dale, head of Parker sales, noticed the demand for such an event and organized the tour. Terry Atkins of the support team explained the new changes to the forum members. CEO Rudy Schlacher also took time at the end of the tour to greet each guest and answer individual questions about the improvements.

One of the most important new developments that the forum guests learned about is the new Truss Rod system. The former system used 60 gauge piano wire, which caused problems with manufacturing and installation. The new dual action rod has made the guitars much sturdier and more accurate. Parker manufacturers were able to accomplish this while adding only .7 ounces of weight to the guitars. The other important modification was the switch to Loctite adhesive, which has made the failure rate of Parker Guitars plummet to nearly zero.
